- Head Volleyball Coach at Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Michigan.
- Assistant Volleyball Coach for the United States Women’s Junior National Team. Silver medalist USBVA Open National Championships.
- Earned a Master of Arts Degree in Sport Studies at California State University, Long Beach.
- Head Volleyball Coach at Western Michigan University for 15 years.
- First volleyball team and first team of any women’s sport in the history of the university to win a Mid American Conference Championship.
- Seven Mid-American Conference regular season titles.
- One time Mid-American Conference winning streak of ninety-eight matches, one of the longest conference winning streaks for any sport in the history of the NCAA.
- 5 time Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year.
- ASICS/TIGER Volleyball Monthly National Coach of the Year.
- Eight NCAA tournament appearances.
- Undefeated regular season in 1983 finishing in top 8 nationally.
- Western Michigan University hosted numerous First Round, Regional Tournaments and the NCAA Final Four in 1985 (Stanford, Pacific, Southern California and UCLA).
- Coached three All-Americans, three Academic All-Americans, five Mid-American Conference Most Valuable Players, and seventeen first and second team MAC players a total of thirty-five times.
- Eight of his former student-athletes have been inducted into the Western Michigan University Hall of Fame.
- Earned Level I certification by the Federation Internationale de Volley-ball.
- Level I and Level II certification by the United States Volleyball Association.
- 1993 cofounded USA Michigan Volleyball with his wife Jackie.
- Many club athletes have gone on to play at junior colleges, colleges and universities throughout the country.
- Resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan with wife Jackie and daughters’ Anna & Audrey.
